Weigh-in Wednesday 2 Moms, 20 Pounds: Weigh-In Wednesday #11
This is our eleventh Weigh-in Wednesday, so here’s the update on our progress this last week. At the end of the post we’d love for you to link up to your own update post about your weight-loss progress. We look forward to cheering you on!
Food
JOY: I did pretty well with what I ate this week, although I ate more than I should have. I didn’t stick faithfully with my tried-and-true method of waiting until I’m hungry to eat, and it shows on my scale.
KATE: My motivation is definitely lost and I can’t seem to find where it went. I’ve kept track of my portions at meals, but beyond that, I’ve given in to foods I shouldn’t eat too often.
Water
JOY: I didn’t do well in this category at all this week. I had entirely too much milk this last week, possibly due to the fact that milk was selling for just $1.98 a gallon?
KATE: Still no problems there. That might be my only redeeming effort right now.
Exercise
JOY: Nope. Same old story.
KATE: I only made it to the Y once this week, but I did get in some more exercise when I was outside playing with the kids.
Challenges
JOY: Waiting is my biggest challenge. Waiting until I’m hungry, that is. I’m such an emotional eater that if I feel like eating, it’s so hard not to eat. This is the key to my success — or failure — and I realize that, yet it’s still such a challenge for me.
KATE: Everything seems like a challenge lately. Motivation and will-power have been challenging!
Successes
JOY: Can’t really think of anything I’d term a success this week. Maybe that’s one reason why I gained?
KATE: I definitely have to agree with Joy here. It’s good to know I’m not alone in this!
Plans for the next week
JOY: I really must stop giving into head hunger and wait until I’m really stomach hungry. I know that will make all the difference in the world for me. Oh, that, and stop drinking so much doggone milk!
KATE: I stopped writing down what I was eating and I’m going to get back to that this week. Then I hope my motivation and will-power will follow as a result.
Weigh-in
JOY: I’m up .6 of a pound to 158 even. That’s really better than what it could have been.
KATE: I’m up half a pound. Total lost since we started - 5 pounds. 15 pounds still to go. That’s a little discouraging.
