Using Handipoints & A Giveaway

I first heard about Handipoints through our local homeschool group. Everyone seemed to love the program, so I knew I had to check it out. Although we haven’t begun to use it yet, I am planning on working this system into our chore routines sometime soon.

According to their website:

In addition to powerful parenting tools for Task and Goal management, Handipoints features HandiLand, a fun virtual world where kids adopt their own cartoon cat and use their points to buy clothes and gear for their cat. Great for kids from four to fourteen, Handipoints helps teach kids to be Happy, Healthy and Smart.

From what I gather, the website works by providing you, the parent, with fully-customizable Handipoints Chore Charts and then the children earn points for each task completed based on a grade that you give them. The children can use the points to “purchase” things for their virtual cat to use in HandiLand. There is no fee associated with using Handipoints.

Handipoints has given us the opportunity to giveaway a Key Ring for use in HandiLand to one of our readers. The key ring has 3 Gold, 4 Silver, 5 Bronze Keys, which is a $19.99 value. Kids on Handipoints use Keys to buy premium, exclusive clothes and furniture for their cat characters.

If you’d like to enter this giveaway, just leave us a comment and we will select a winner next Tuesday, October 7.

  1. I would love to win!!! this would help my family get organized with duties and chores.

  2. I have never heard of this. It sounds like fun! I had just incorporated a new chart, but I’m not so sure it is working as well as I want it too, but this might be the key. Thanks for the giveaway! :D

  3. I’d love to win! I just signed up with Handipoints after reading about it here. I also emailed it to a bunch of my friends. My kids love webkinz and this looks like something similar but with the benefit of tying it to their chores and habit formation.

  4. Sounds like lots of fun~ thanks for the giveaway!

  5. I tried this a while back after i heard about it from OUR homeschooling group! I sadly failed because we really don’t have enough structure in our life(we weren’t homeschooling back then either)….but i am definitely going to give handipoints a try again because it is an AWESOME website and involves CHORES nonetheless! lol. Thanks for a great giveaway! :D
