Much more than a place to sleep is the hallmark of every room, in styles varying shapes and sizes, but all offer comfort and good rest. As old as man himself, its first versions are far from what they are now. The bed base has become, it can be found in different styles, each with its own characteristics such as infant size beds, cheap king size beds,matrimonial size beds etc. It has a shelf life of several years and requires little care. Some countries have their own very different versions.
Designed to sleep, is also used for resting, sitting, lying, eating, playing, jumping, reading rest in times of illness, talking, doing homework, dreaming and planning. It is the site where more people die.
Types of Beds:
Traditionally the bed consists of a box or base with small legs and a mattress, plus one or two extra pieces of wood or other material. One is the head and the other at the foot of the bed, lower in height is the footboard. Among the sizes are Matrimonial, Individual, King size, Queen size, Litter, Infant.
Hence there have been variations such as:
– The bed rustic style colonial with wood
– In white lacquered
– Japanese-style bed is low rise
– Canopy, for large rooms
– In dark woods
– With integrated tables, straight lines, the header is still finishing off in side tables
– With wood base, replacing the box
– On a base of concrete, there are hotels that use this style
– Bed kangaroo, is an individual that the bottom has another on rollers, to remove it at night and save the day
– Water or air mattress is filled rubber for use
– Round
– Foldable, gets up and hides in the wall behind a door
– Sofa bed, a chair that is bed
Care:
These are minimal and are to extend their useful life. The base or box can last 10 to 15 years, but be careful when moving it, then, not knowing handle could break a leg. Care must be taken to the base, as the fabric can rip the sides. Sometimes it is covered with a kind of farm called baseboard, which serves to not see the box and decorate the bed. The mattress has a lifespan of 10 years, but depends on the treatment. We must be aware of the springs (if brought) do not sit, if so it’s time to change it.
In the case of children’s beds, it is recommended to put the mattress cover in case the child wets the bed, so the moisture left on the sheets. Some people like to take care of their furniture for them these covers are more than necessary.
If the bed brings back wood, but is not lacquered furniture should be oiled or give a paint will protect the wood extending its life. But if you bring metal, such as bunk beds, should be checked periodically points which do not rust. Finding a spot, it is convenient sanding and painting. If you bring rolls, oil must be followed and care is not filled with trash or hair.
