Taco Seasoning
Ingredients
- 2 TB chili powder
- 5 tsp paprika
- 4 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 TB tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
Directions
- Combine all ingredients. Store it in a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Use within 6 months.
- When adding this seasoning to ground beef, add 1/2 to 3/4 cups of water to the beef and simmer covered for about 10 minutes.
- The recipe makes approximately 7 tablespoons (about 3 packages of taco seasoning mix). Two generous tablespoons (7 teaspoons) is about equivalent to one package of taco seasoning mix.

One of the best things my husband taught me when we first started dating was to make our own seasonings and tomato sauce. We are taco lovers here and the kids will use this seasoning on anything, chicken, turkey, etc. Mmmm…good stuff!
