Sylvan Workbook Review & Giveaway

Random House recently launched a line of Sylvan workbooks and kits. The materials are described as supplemental education tools that focus on reading and language arts. Each workbook or kit features “grade-appropriate activities, stories, and exercises to help students gain confidence and boost their grades.”

Sylvan Learning Centers have built a reputation for helping students improve their grades and studying skills. These new materials definitely follow in that tradition. And best of all, they are useful for all students, irregardless of how they are schooled.sylvan spelling Sylvan Workbook Review & Giveaway

They’ve proven to be a wonderful supplemental tool in our homeschool. We are currently in between books in Learning Language Arts Through Literature. So, our 4th grader has been using the books for the past few weeks while we wait for our book to come in.

She has really enjoyed using the books. They are layed out nicely and not full of lots of busy work. There is plenty of skill review to cement that skill in her brain without being over the top or redundant. I believe these workbooks would be useful in any home!

If you’d like to learn more about these new Sylvan resources from Random House, you can read about them here.

We also have 3 workbooks to giveaway to one lucky winner. The books are Spelling Success, Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary Success. They are all 4th grade editions.

To enter the giveaway, just leave us a comment letting us know how you would use the books in your home. You can receive an extra entry (one each) for doing any of the following: tweet the giveaway, subscribe to Happy To Be At Home, or post the giveaway on your blog. Make sure you leave one additional comment for each extra entry.
