If you have several rooms in the house that are separated by doors, most likely not worry because they have the same decorative style or the same color. However, the opposite happens if you have two or more rooms in which you can see from one to the other, especially because the colors make them all feel in harmony or look bad.
If you have two rooms next to each other, or family room next to the dining hall without doors that separate, you can use color to make them look related. In particular, because if you use totally different colors can create an environment in your house separate areas that make it difficult to feel that is one space.
Whereas if you use similar colors or shades thereof will cause the atmosphere to flow better and your home look great and elegant. But it is not necessary that all rooms are connected by a single space have to look the same, each can have its own functionality and its own decor, but with colors that relate to each other.
A good idea is to pick a shade that you like and give you the environment you want to achieve, and make each room has its own personality and functionality depending on the tone and so will create a sense of unity. For example, you can choose the shade of blue, ranging from blue to white one blue. With all this variety of colors that exist in that tone can create in each room a different atmosphere, but everything seems a whole.
