Day 2 in Emily’s Kitchen

So, today was a wash in the kitchen! My mother-in-law offered to take us to dinner and buy the kids much-needed winter coats. Who could argue with that? And we went to a playdate this morning so I just grabbed some chili from our freezer. That’s the one thing about my menu…it’s flexible. I don’t always get to all of it, but I do have it all on hand. But, maybe we’ll do the soup tomorrow instead…who knows? It’ll be an adventure!
So, I think I’ll go ahead and show you around my kitchen that I wasn’t in today. Keep in mind I haven’t really cleaned it either, but whatever! This is just how we live ok? I have stuff on my counters almost all the time!

I love looking in people’s cabinets and fridge, so here’s mine!

Here’s me being weird so you can really get a good idea of what it’s like over here.

The apples that will become apple sauce and apple chips (hopefully tomorrow).

   What fun! It is always nice not to have to be in the kitchen for a day!
   I get my “surprise night off of cooking” on Thursday! Kids are spending the night at Grandma & Grandpa’s and hubby and I are havin’ ourselves a date night!

   He told me that today along with telling me that he is sick of eating chicken. Well that is about all I got in my freezer at the moment! LOL So my menu for the week is pretty much shot out the door. Oh well, at least I’ll get a night off this week!
   Look forward to reading about tomorrow.
