Chocolate Chip Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup applesauce (or cooking oil)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl, mix all ingredients together except chocolate chips. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Muffins can be frozen then reheated in the microwave or oven.

Makes 12 muffins

  1. I just made a double batch of these…YUMMY! My girls (4 & 8) ‘helped’ me make them. I’m planning to freeze more than half of them for later breakfasts. Thanks for this great site! I love all the info you have on here!!!
