With the site being off and on for the past few days, we thought it was a good time to catch-up with everyone participating in the Conquer the Clutter challenge. This post contains a list of many of the participants and their progress so far. Here is what is new since then.

  • Liz and her husband spent a half hour in their basement getting rid of boxes and boxes of stuff.  Liz said, “We put it out by the curb a few days before garbage day and all but a few things got snatched up.  We cleared our clutter and hopefully helped someone else out with things they needed.” Great job!
  • Erika did a fantastic job de-cluttering and organizing the cabinet under her kitchen sink.
  • Felicity conquered her bathroom cabinets and drawers, throwing lots of extra stuff away and freeing up space.
  • Susan has been going through boxes from a move four years ago. On her plate for next week is conquering the clutter in her dining room.

    This week, we’ve been going through some boxes from the back storage room that haven’t been unpacked since we moved here almost four years ago! Lots of stuff was thrown out, and I found some things to put on eBay.

    Lots of decluttering in the dining room is the plan for next week. It’s been used as a storage area for quite a while, and I want my dining room back! LOL!

    We made great strides this week spending about 3.5 hours together digging through the mess.

    We moved in an additional bookcase from our bedroom and added 3 new bags to the yard sale piles (extra cash soon?!). We also organized all the financial documentation and had a shredding party later that morning with over 3 inches of documents!

    Next week I’ll be at a class but the week after we’re looking forward to finishing it up and posting a link to the pictures!
